Scope of the Program:
The goal of the Health Promotion Program is to educate and raise awareness of the population, to create a health-promoting environment. The Program includes:
- Telephone consultations for those who want to quit smoking through the Hotline (116001), including psychological counseling for quitting smoking, information about medical treatment services and legal regulations;
- Psychological assistance through a professional service - by phone or online (the component also includes provision of psychological assistance to pregnant women (up to 13 weeks of pregnancy).
Engagement in the Program and documents to be submitted:
To engage in the Program a person residing in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions should:
- Possess a personal identification number granted as result of registration; or
- Possess a neutral ID (SNID) or neutral travel document (SNTD); or
- Possess an ID Card of Georgian citizen.
Program Funding:
The service is free of charge and does not require any co-funding.
